# pvcreate

|
|
> Initialize a disk or partition for use by LVM (Logical Volume Manager).
|
|
|
|
- Initialize `/dev/sda1` to use lvm:
|
|
|
|
`pvcreate {{/dev/sda1}}`
|
|
|
|
- Force the creation without any confirmation:
|
|
|
|
`pvcreate --force {{/dev/sda1}}`
|
